Alma is a widget-first Bible app. We collect as little as we can, and we don't sell your data.
The short version
Alma has no accounts. We never ask for your email. Your saved verses live on your device. Notes sync through our server so they survive a new phone — nobody reads them but you.
What we collect
Alma does not require an account or email. Saved verses and widget preferences live on your device. If you write notes, they are stored on our servers so they can sync. We also receive anonymous analytics (opens, widget refreshes, purchase events) through PostHog, AppsFlyer, and RevenueCat so we can keep the app working.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for your name, contacts, location, or photos. We don't read your other apps. We don't sell or rent personal information.
Purchases
Subscriptions go through Apple. Apple processes payment. We receive a receipt token so we can unlock Alma+ — not your card number.
Analytics partners
PostHog (product analytics), AppsFlyer (attribution), and RevenueCat (subscription status) process limited device identifiers under their own policies. You can limit ad tracking in iOS Settings.
Retention
Device-side data stays until you delete the app. Notes on our servers stay until you delete them or request deletion. Analytics events are kept only as long as we need them to operate the product.
Your rights
Email support@almabible.app to ask what we hold, to delete notes, or to opt out of analytics where the law requires it.
Children
Alma is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
